Gary John Mayfield became a Knight ten years ago in 2003 and moved through 2nd and 3rd degrees on his way to 4th Degree. He currently lives at 9688 Chesapeake Street in Highlands Ranch. You may communicate with Gary at 303 791-9074 or his cell 720-938-4938 or

Born in Newark, New Jersey, Gary grew up in Whippany, New Jersey, went to Whippany Park High School and enjoyed hunting, fishing, football and baseball. He came to Colorado because his parents moved here.

Gary owns and operates SERVPRO Denver East, a Restoration and Cleaning company (see his business card in the Advertisement section). He has been in this business since graduating from school.

Gary Mayfield and Terri Bigley were married on June 22nd, 1985 and have two children, Tony and Jene. Tony works in his fathers business and Jene is a CNA going to nursing school. Terri also works with Gary in his Restoration and Cleaning business.

Gary became a Knight because he wanted to help people. He likes to cook and has become one of our master chefs at all Knights functions that serve food (Beer and Brats, Pancake Breakfasts, Fish Fries, Spaghetti Dinners, Reconciliation Dinner, Annual Parish Picnic). He not only cooks, but helps out at most of the other events. He was instrumental in the demolition effort of the old barn on the Diocese property, picked up and delivered tons of gravel to construct our Rosary Walk, picks up and delivers those wonderful Colorado peaches that we sell in September, and makes sure that the proper support is provided to our Clergy and Seminarians. Terri is a Lady Knight and will co-lead the Ladies for the next two years.

Gary is currently our Deputy Grand Knight, but also held the office of Warden from 2009 and 2010, Chancellor from 2011 and 2012. Gary has been our Knight of the month for February 2008 and May 2010. Family of the Month for September 2005, August 2007, August 2008, August 2009 and December 2011, also receiving Family of the month from supreme twice. He was our Knight of the Year for 2011 and he and Terri were the Family of the Year for December 2009, a terrific accomplishment. He also received the award for Annual Religious Awards Retreat, culinary staff in October 2005.

Garys goal as Knight is to be the Grand Knight, then go back to cooking. He feels that the best thing to ever happen to him is his great marriage to Terri and his wonderful kids.

Deputy Grand Knight

The deputy grand knight is the second in command in the local council. He is also elected annually, assists the grand knight in the operation of council affairs and is responsible for any duties assigned to him by the grand knight. In the absence of the grand knight, the deputy grand knight presides at council meetings and functions as the grand knight would. The deputy grand knight is a member of the Advisory Board charged with general supervision of a Columbian Squires circle sponsored by his council. It is suggested that the deputy grand knight and the board of trustees serve on the council’s retention committee.

The chancellor is elected annually to serve the council in a variety of ways. Primarily, he assists the grand knight and deputy grand knight in the execution of their duties and takes charge of the council during the incapacity or extended absence of both.

The warden is responsible for supervising and maintaining all council property, except that which belongs to the financial secretary.

He sets up the council chambers for meetings and degrees and appoints and supervises guards for ceremonial exemplifications. The warden should also oversee the inside and outside guards and make sure they are fulfilling the duties assigned to them.
